Work belts for trousers, holsters and tool pouches
A work belt earns its keep by carrying load, not by holding trousers up. Once holsters, pouches and a hammer loop are hanging off it, width and stiffness decide whether the weight sits on your hips or drags the waistband down all day. Leather stays rigid under a full rig and moulds to the wearer over time, while woven webbing is lighter, dries faster and shrugs off wet and mud on outdoor work.
Buckle choice follows the same logic: a roller buckle adjusts finely and holds a heavy load, a quick-release clasp comes off in one hand when you are in and out of a vehicle or a harness. Check the width against the loops on your trousers, since a wide belt that will not thread through is no use, and look for a contoured or padded back panel if you spend the day bending and kneeling.
Sizing is often stated as one size with a trimmable tail. The rest of the clothing accessories range covers the head, from a peaked cap to a knitted beanie for cold mornings.
