Cordless grease guns and single-point lubricators

Greasing on time is the cheapest maintenance there is. A bearing that runs dry costs many times the grease it should have had, and the breakdown rarely arrives at a convenient moment. The equipment here takes the handwork out of that routine, so one technician can lubricate a full round of points without pumping a lever.

Cordless grease guns build pressure electrically, so a caked nipple opens without leaning on a handle. They run on the usual cordless platforms, so check which battery system a tool takes before you add it to a fleet. Look at the flexible hose, at the coupler lock and at dosing. Being able to dose prevents over-greasing, and over-greasing does as much damage as too little grease.

Automatic single-point lubricators go a step further. They stay permanently on one grease point and release a set quantity over weeks or months, which pays off on points that turn or are hard to reach. Choose the filling on the temperature, the speed and the load at that point.
