Current clamps for measuring AC and DC current

With a current clamp you measure the current in a conductor without breaking the circuit: you simply clamp the jaws around the cable. For electricians, maintenance technicians and installers, that is the fastest way to check load, trace faults or run through a distribution board without unscrewing anything. Simple models measure alternating current, while more capable clamps handle both AC and DC and also read voltage, resistance and frequency.
