Press jaws and rings for pressing and crimping tools
The press jaw does the work: the pressing tool supplies the force, the jaw decides which profile is pressed into the fitting and on which pipe size. The wrong profile gives a joint that looks right and still leaks, so choosing the jaw is not a detail. Start from the fitting system you are installing. Every manufacturer specifies a profile, and the jaw has to match it and be released by the fitting supplier.
Then pick the pipe size, because a jaw works on one nominal size. Anyone installing several sizes is better served by a set than by loose jaws. The third step is the machine: jaws are tied to the mount and to the force of the tool, with separate ranges for compact 12V machines and for 18V tools. For the larger diameters you work with a ring adapter and a separate press ring, so you can still press all round in a tight shaft.
Check jaws regularly for contamination and cracking. Related accessories sit under pressing and crimping.
