Adhesives for wood, metal, plastic and stone bonding
Choosing an adhesive starts with the two substrates and the load between them, not with the tube. Cyanoacrylates fix small parts in seconds but tolerate almost no gap and very little peel. Two-component epoxies build structural strength across a filled joint and cure to a hard, chemical-resistant line.
Polyurethane construction grades expand slightly as they cure, which suits porous and uneven surfaces. Threadlocking and retaining compounds work anaerobically inside a fastened assembly, holding a bearing seat or stopping a bolt backing out under vibration. Contact grades bond laminate and sheet across a full face with pressure alone.
After chemistry, check three points: open time against how long positioning takes, gap fill against the real joint tolerance, and temperature and chemical exposure in service. Surface preparation decides more failures than product choice, so degrease and key wherever the datasheet calls for it. Flooring grades are formulated for movement underfoot rather than maximum rigidity. Part of the adhesives and sealants range, with MS polymer grades where a joint has to stay flexible.
