3M PELTOR X1 Hearing Protectors are our lightweight hearing protectors with comfortable, soft ear cushions. Available as headband, helmet-mounted and neckband models. The headband model features an electrically insulated, double headband that reduces heat build-up on the head. Depending on the wearer's preference or application needs, the helmet-mounted versions are available in a non-conductive, electrically insulated version or with robust metal arms.
For high-quality hearing protection against low to medium noise levels, use 3M PELTOR X1 Hearing Protectors. Their lightweight design with low-profile shells makes them ideal when overprotection can be a problem. The first level of noise protection in the series, the 3M PELTOR Hearing Protectors X1, is colour-coded green. This makes it easy to select the right level of protection from the X-series range. The headband model features an electrically insulated, double headband that helps reduce heat build-up on the head. The stainless steel wire, coated with plastic, makes the headband the most robust one 3M has to offer. The headband is both strong and comfortable as the flat wide headband has a soft plastic coating that provides stable pressure on the top of the head. No uncovered metal means the product is 'dielectric' and offers electrical resistance for applications with a risk of sparks or charge. Carefully moulded sliding pieces allow easy adjustment of the ear muffs to the head. Wide soft foam ear cushions keep workers comfortable, while flat shells offer better compatibility with other safety equipment. To offer a product that meets the requirements of the task or user preferences, the helmet-mounted version is available as P5 with the same non-conductive properties as the headband model. For applications that do not require electrical insulation, the P3 model with helmet attachment and neckband is available . The foam cushions and inserts, available as hygiene kits, are easy to replace if they become worn or damaged, extending the life of the product.
