The 3M Protective Coverall 4520 contains multiple layers of SMMMS and provides effective protection and strength at a weight of only 43 g/m². It has great breathability feels like a soft fabric, offers long-lasting comfort and protects against static discharge, hazardous particles and Type 5/6 liquid splashes.
Use the 3M Protective Coverall 4520 for protection against dirt, splashes and toxic dust particles, including nuclear particles. It meets several standards for protective clothing against chemicals, including EN 1149 Electrostatic properties, EN 1073-2 Against nuclear particles, EN ISO 13688, Type 6 Liquid splashes EN 13034, and Type 5 Dust EN ISO 13982-1. Easily recognised by the green triangle, made of the same 43-gram SMMMS material as the rest. This overall is designed to reduce weight without sacrificing performance, by adding extra layers. It is made of SMMMS: an inner and outer layer of spider-bonded fabric with three layers of melt-blown material in between. The spider-bound layers provide the strength and splash protection, while the melt-blown layers form an advanced multilayer web of microfibres that traps all dry particles. The soft, breathable and very lightweight nonwoven material ensures good dissipation of body heat and moisture, for long-term wearing comfort and maximum productivity in the workplace. Antistatic performance according to EN 1149, for minimal risk of electrostatic discharge, spark formation and ignition. The 3M Protective coverall 4520 is very popular for applications involving particles, such as in the pharmaceutical industry and the handling of toxic powders.
