Water, oil and hydraulic pumps by drive and duty

Pump devices move water, oil, fuel and hydraulic fluid, and the duty decides everything else. Clean water transfer and irrigation run on centrifugal units where flow rate matters more than pressure. Dirty water and drainage need a submersible with a solids passage large enough for the debris actually present, plus a float switch if it is to be left unattended.

Booster units hold a steady supply pressure for washing and sprinkler circuits. On the workshop side, hand and foot operated hydraulic pumps reach up to 700 bar to drive cylinders, pullers and presses, while oil transfer devices keep lubricant clean between drum and machine. Drive type follows the location: mains units from around 400W to 1900W suit fixed installations, and 18V cordless pumps and inflators work where there is no supply and share batteries with the rest of the kit.

Check maximum head, not just the flow figure, against the vertical lift plus friction losses in the hose, and size the suction line so the pump never runs dry. Part of the wider pumps range.
