Drill stands for accurate, square drilling

A drill stand fixes your hand drill in a guided setup, so you drill square, at a constant depth and with even pressure, instead of freehand with the risk of skewed or wandering holes. That matters in repeat work, at larger diameters and in materials where accuracy counts, such as metal and wood. There are versions in which you clamp an ordinary drill, sturdier stands for diamond and core drilling, and magnetic stands that lock onto steel for drilling on vertical or overhead surfaces.
