Facom stepped drills, conical cutters and spot welding cutters

Facom stepped drills, conical cutters and spot welding cutters are made for drilling sheet metal, in body repair and in switch cabinets, where an ordinary twist drill tears the material or leaves a ragged edge. These drills are part of Facom cutting tools. If you tap a thread after drilling, take the matching size from Facom taps and stud drivers.

A stepped drill cuts several diameters with one tool, for example from 4 to 20 mm or from 4 to 39 mm, and deburrs the edge at the same time. The ISO and PG versions follow the sizes of cable glands, so the hole takes the gland without further work. Conical cutters with a 90 degree angle countersink holes for flat-head screws and break sharp edges; the diameter, such as 10.4 or 16.5 mm, sets how large the countersink becomes.

The spot welding cutter and spot weld drills remove weld spots without damaging the panel underneath, so body parts can be separated. For everyday holes there are ground drill bits sold individually, from 1.5 to 8.5 mm.
