Facom pipe cutters for copper, stainless steel and plastic, with or without ratchet

Facom pipe cutters cut tubes square and clean, for plumbing, heating and installation work. They belong to Facom various cutting tools, a group that brings together other specialised cutting tools.

Choose the cutter to suit the tube material and diameter. For copper there is a precision pipe cutter and a mini pipe cutter for tight spots, such as between a wall and a pipe. For stainless steel, one cutter covers 3 to 35 mm. A pipe cutter with a ratchet lets you cut without taking the tool all the way round the tube each time, handy on a pipe running along a wall. For large plastic pipes up to 63 mm there is a cutter with a ratchet as well.

With a wheel-type cutter, tighten a little on each turn instead of clamping hard in one go. That keeps the tube round and the cut clean. Deburr the inside of the tube afterwards, so the fitting seals properly and the flow is not restricted.
