Facom impact letter and number sets, character height 4, 5 and 8 mm

Facom letter and number punches stamp characters into metal, for permanent marking of parts, tools, jigs and sheet metal in the workshop and in production. A stamped character stays legible where a sticker or marker wears off.

The sets come in character heights of 4, 5 and 8 mm. Letter sets hold the full alphabet together with a dot, number sets the digits in nine pieces. Choose the height by the surface and the reading distance: 4 or 5 mm for small parts and rating plates, 8 mm for larger items read from a distance. Pair a letter set and a number set of the same height, so codes and serial numbers look uniform.

For an even impression, strike the punch squarely with a hammer, on a solid base. Mark out the position beforehand so the characters line up neatly.
