Product description:

  • The Fluke 1625-2 GEO ground tester offers the ability to store and download data via the USB port.
  • Top-class accessories ensure simple and fast measurement procedures.
  • 3- and 4-pole potential loss and earth resistance measurements
    • 4-pole ground resistance measurement
    • Selective earth pin measurement with 1 current clamp
    • Selective earth pin measurement with 2 current clamps
    • IP56 classified for outdoor use
    • Sturdy carrying case
    • Data storage and transfer via USB
  • The tester is also easy to use.
  • For each measurement, the tester indicates which electrodes or current clamps should be connected.
  • The large rotary switch can be used even when wearing gloves.

Key features

  • Electrode-less measurement
  • The Fluke 1625-2 earth ground tester can measure loop resistances in grounding systems using only current clamps.
  • In this testing method, two current clamps are placed around the earth pin and each current clamp is connected to the tester.
  • No earth electrodes are used.
  • One current clamp induces a known, fixed voltage and the current is then measured by the other current clamp.
  • The tester then automatically determines the resistance of the earth pin.
  • This measurement method only works if a connected earthing system is present for the building or structure being tested, but this is usually the case.
  • If there is only one earth connection, as is the case in many homes, the electrodeless method does not provide an acceptable value and the potential loss test method should be used.
  • An electrodeless measurement does not require the earthing pin to be disconnected.
  • As a result, the connected earthing system remains intact during measurement.
  • The time-consuming placing and connecting of electrodes for each earth pin on the system is a thing of the past; a significant time saver.
  • You can also perform earthing tests in places that were previously out of the question, namely inside buildings, in high-voltage pylons and anywhere you do not have access to the ground.

The most complete tester

  • The Fluke 1625-2 is a unique earth ground tester that can take earth ground measurements in all four ways:
    • 3- and 4-pole potential loss measurement (using electrodes)
    • 4-pole soil resistance test (using electrodes)
    • Selective test (to be performed using 1 current clamp and earth pins)
    • Electrodeless test (using only 2 current clamps)
