The Fluke T6 is the perfect 'all-in-one' tool for troubleshooting, maintenance and service.
Fault finding in electrical systems can be time-consuming and potentially dangerous as it requires access to metal contact points.
With the latest Fluke T6 electrical testers, reliable True RMS measurements can now be made in congested junction boxes or along conductors with inaccessible endpoints.
This saves time, eliminates potential errors and significantly reduces the risk of arc discharge.
The robust testers have the safety specification 1000 V CAT III and
600 V CAT IV and feature an easy-to-read backlit display.
FieldSense technology
FieldSense
With Fluke's FieldSense technology, you can now take measurements quickly and easily by sliding the open fork over a conductor to see the voltage level without using test leads.*
*Requires a capacitive earth connection, provided by the user in most applications.
In some situations, grounding via the test lead is required.
How to use your new Fluke T6
Learn how to use your new T6 with revolutionary 'Field Sense' technology and get the best out of your tester.
Keep the following hints in mind when using the instrument.
Measure voltage and current at the same time.
How does FieldSense technology work?
With a capacitive sensor, a voltage signal is measured via the user's hand in relation to earth, without any electrical contact or galvanic connection and completely isolated!
The sensor area of the tester must be close to the measured signal on a live conductor.
In this case, both the user's hand and body provide a connection to earth.
The electric field (voltage) and magnetic field (current) are recorded.
If the earth connection is missing, an earth symbol is shown on the display of the T6.
In some cases, measuring leads must be used: When the hand or human body is isolated from earthing (e.g.
By safety gloves) or when the human body is not in contact with the earth ground (e.g. on upper floors in wooden houses), contact with the earth ground must be made by connecting the black test lead (COM) to the earth ground.
