Gedore clamping tool
Gedore clamping tools hold a workpiece while you saw, file, drill or assemble. This means bench vices and a table-top gripper, for metalworkers, maintenance departments and workshops.
Jaw width is the first choice. A 100 mm vice is enough for small parts and fine work on a light workbench. The 125 mm is a common size in the maintenance workshop, and the 150 mm vices clamp larger and heavier pieces that are worked with force. Also look at the opening and the depth of the jaws, since they decide how large a workpiece can be. A heavy vice needs a sturdy workbench and a firm mounting, so the forces of filing and bending do not shift the table.
The table-top gripper combines the clamping force of grip pliers with a fixed place on the table, useful for repetitive work. To clamp delicate or round workpieces without marks, add protective jaws from Gedore vice jaws, aluminium and pipe clamping. It all falls under Gedore workpiece clamping.
