HG tile protector is an easy-to-apply, liquid polymer emulsion for all types of floor tiles, flagstones and slate. After drying, this emulsion forms a shiny and wafer-thin, but extremely strong protective film, protecting the tile against stains, soiling, scratches and wear, while also deepening its colour and structure. This protective film also provides an anti-slip effect.
Instructions for use
- The substrate must be completely clean, grease- and dust-free
- The glue/soil and joints of new floors must be fully cured and dry
- This usually requires 4-6 weeks drying time
- Existing, still porous floors must be completely dry after cleaning
- Floor heating must be switched off for at least 12 hours before treatment with this product
- Porous floors must first be treated with HG tile impregnating protector (product 13)
- Do not shake before use and preferably apply with a wax dispenser (see illustration on front of bottle)
- If desired, a clean, lint-free (tea) cloth wrapped around a squeegee can also be used
- On a coarse surface, use a paint roller (fur roller)
- Pour the liquid onto the floor and spread in straight lines in one direction
- Do not twist or rub
- When the product has dried (after about 40 minutes), a second coat can be applied at right angles to the first coat
- Approximately 3 hours after the last treatment the floor can be walked on normally and is fully cured after 3 days
- Consumption: 80 m² per 2 litres per coat
