Hydraulic workshop presses for bearings and bushes
A hydraulic workshop press delivers the force to press bearings, bushes and shafts in and out in a controlled way, and to straighten or shape parts. In the workshop and the garage, it is the tool for when hand force falls short: with a hydraulic pump you gradually build up a high pressing force, while the workpiece sits stable between the press table and the ram.
This way you work accurately and safely, even on seized parts. When choosing, look at the pressing force and the working height: versions run from roughly 20 tonnes to 50 tonnes, and the height-adjustable press table determines which workpieces you can fit. The stroke length, usually around 250 mm to 330 mm, indicates how far the ram travels.
A pressure gauge and a smooth-running, optionally air-assisted pump keep the work clear and quick. Brands such as Hi-Force, Facom and Bahco offer presses for occasional use up to intensive workshop work. Choose a pressing force and build height that suit the parts you work on regularly.
