This blade is made of high carbon steel (HCS). It is a material that resists bending well and is therefore best suited for cutting softer materials such as soft wood, soft plastics and wood fibre boards. The blade attachment is Makita shank type, also called M-shank, specially designed for easy connection to Makita jigsaws with a two-hole holder. The milled teeth help the blade cut faster and leave a rougher cutting surface.
