Makita cordless drill drivers, impact drills, combi hammers and impact wrenches are the battery machines for drilling, driving screws and tightening bolts, for fitters, installers and contractors. The range runs from compact 10.8V machines to heavy models on 18V LXT, 2x18V and 40V.

Choose the platform first, because batteries and chargers swap within the same system. 18V LXT covers the widest range, 40V targets heavy work, and small 10.8V or 12V machines are handy inside cabinets and on installation jobs. Next comes the type of machine. A drill driver with a 10 or 13 mm chuck covers assembly and drilling in wood and metal, an impact drill adds a hammer action for masonry. For concrete, a cordless SDS-Plus combi hammer of 20 to 26 mm is the better choice. A 1/2" impact wrench tightens bolts from 330 Nm to 1000 Nm.
