The unique protected design of this SKF Hook spanner, allows it to tighten and loosen lock nuts whilst these are inside SKF split plummer (pillow) block housings (SNL). Alternatively it can be used as regular hook spanner. They are used to secure and adjust bearings on tapered journals, adapter sleeves and withdrawal sleeves. The SKF hook spanner HN 12/SNL, is designed for nuts with an outer diameter of 80 mm. In particular for lock nuts of series KM 12, KMK 12, KMFE 12, N 12 and M52x1,5, M55x1,5 (DIN 1804).
