Spark plug spanners for cars, bikes and small engines
A spark plug spanner is purpose-built for removing and installing spark plugs without damaging the delicate ceramic insulator. The deep socket design fits over the full length of the plug, while the internal rubber insert holds it securely during extraction and prevents it from dropping into the engine bay.
This range includes tube-style spanners for straightforward access, flexible assembly spanners that bend around obstructions and knee spanners that provide extra torque at an angle for stubborn or seized plugs. Common sizes are 16 mm and 21 mm, covering the vast majority of passenger cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers and other small engines. Flexible models from Facom reach plugs in recessed cylinder heads where a straight tool simply cannot fit.
Lengths range from 160 mm for shallow plug wells to 300 mm for deeply recessed configurations. Bahco glow plug spanners cater to diesel engines requiring a different socket dimension. Available brands include Facom, Makita, Bahco and HiKOKI.
