Nothing can damage a structure as much as water penetration. To prevent this, not only do the building materials used have to be water-resistant, but the connecting materials are also part of a well-thought-out sealing system. The SPAX gusset screw is used where plastic roof panels, metal sheets or connection profiles must be fastened tightly and permanently.
For this purpose, our washer screw is made of stainless steel and comes with an EPDM sealing washer already inserted. The latter prevents water from penetrating into the roofing and construction via the drilled hole. Unlike other products, our sealing ring consists of a single piece with a diameter of 20 mm. This benefits not only the seal itself, but also pressure distribution on the often sensitive plastic or metal surfaces.
Screw and sealing ring are made of A2 stainless steel and can easily withstand exposure to weather conditions. In addition to the larger sealing ring, it is above all our own SPAX features that make our SPAX mortise screw so special: these include the T-STAR plus power gripping and the 4CUT tip, which offer unique processing advantages.
What this means for you: you can reliably fasten roof boards and cladding with a single working step and permanently seal the fastening points.
