3M Cubitron II Hookit Disc 950U is an abrasive disc designed to deliver high performance in body-in-white applications. It is powered by the fast-cutting, durable 3M Precision-Shaped Grain in a super-open-coat construction that resists clogging. The E-weight paper backing is specially designed for sanding metal.
3M Cubitron II Hookit Paper Disc 950U is the ideal solution for removing paint, coatings and mill scale from galvanised steel, aluminium, fibreglass and other substrates that are prone to fulling. 950U discs have an open-coat construction that reduces loading and clogging - without the use of stearates, to reduce the risk of finish contamination. These discs feature 3M Precision Shaped Grain that forms into triangular points that cut through metal instead of gouges or ploughs like traditional abrasives. These points continuously sharpen themselves as they break, providing extremely fast action. 3M offers a complete line of Hookit discs for work environments where discs with self-adhesive backs can become contaminated by dust or dirt. Hookit discs tend to leave a finer finish than discs with adhesive backs, and are therefore often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive. Hookit sanding discs can be easily attached to a Velcro backing disc (sold separately). They are easy to remove and can be reused for the entire life of the abrasive.
