3M Cubitron II Fibre Disc 982C with 3M Precision Shaped Grain grinds extremely fast on carbon steel and offers up to 2x higher grinding speed and lifetime compared to other fibre discs. The lower working pressure results in more working comfort for the user while being able to finish more parts per disc. Suitable for heavier chipping work.
Use our 3M Cubitron II Fibre Disc 982C for a variety of applications, including chamfering, chamfering and getting rid of carbon steel welds, mill scale, pits and imperfections, traces of metalworking and more. Our discs raise the bar for advanced abrasives, doubling cutting speed and life compared to conventional discs while requiring less grinding pressure. Use for grinding and blending large and small parts of metal surfaces. For heavy-duty applications, you can do more parts per disc, reducing the need for disc replacement. Our discs feature 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology, which generates triangular abrasive grains electrostatically placed on the back. This creates sharp points that each act as a separate cutting tool and cut through metal extremely efficiently. These points wear off evenly and continuously sharpen themselves as they break off. This creates less frictional heat and makes the disc last longer. The tough, rigid back is made of vulcanised fibre that is wear-resistant and stands up to tough grinding applications. Our discs are designed for maximum cutting potential, minimum grinding pressure and minimum operator fatigue.
