Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Abrasive Roller consists of a tough, tight and dense web that allows aggressive blending, cleaning and deburring of metals. Typical applications include paint preparation, as well as removal of coatings and corrosion. The web is flexible and adapts to unique contours to fit into hard-to-reach areas. The stiff nylon backing ensures durability and long life.
Use the Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Roller for aggressive blending and finishing. Our Cut and Polish Rolls can be used to manually clean and polish inside diameters or can be attached to an orbital sander for tougher tasks - including metalworking, paint preparation and rust removal. These rollers use aluminium oxide mineral. This strong, durable mineral self-degrades during use so that new cutting edges keep appearing - whereas traditional natural abrasive grit blunts faster. Because of its high cutting speed, hardness and strength, it is widely used in grinding, sanding and finishing applications. Aluminium oxide is suitable for numerous materials in both wood and metalworking, including ferroalloys. Scotch-Brite abrasives consist of unique surface treatment products containing abrasive minerals in a non-woven fibre layer. Combining abrasive grains with non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results over the life of the product. The open web material stays cool during use and is full-flow resistant. As a result, the fibres are less likely to clog and the abrasive minerals remain high performing.
