The Scotch-Brite Clean and Finish sheet has a deformable, non-woven web structure and different types of minerals for blending, cleaning and finishing. Due to their flexibility, our Clean and Finish sheets are great for hard-to-reach areas and to achieve an even finish.
Use the Scotch Brite Clean and Finish sheet for effective cleaning, blending and conditioning of metal, wood, composites and advanced surfaces. Our Clean and Finish sheets are also suitable for paint preparation. Scotch Brite Clean and Finish multi-use sheets are useful for cabinets, woodworking, panelling, furniture, metal fabrication and primary processing of wood and panels. These non-woven sheets with an open web structure are washable and reusable. Because they are resistant to flooding, the result remains consistent throughout the life of the product. These 152.4 mm x 228.6 mm sheets can be used in several ways: manually for precise control, with a hand block for a uniform finish or on an orbital sander for larger areas. The sheets can be folded, stacked or rolled for effective cleaning or conditioning of flat, irregular or shaped surfaces. Scotch Brite Clean and Finish sheets are available with sanding minerals based on silicon carbide, aluminium oxide or talc. Silicon carbide is a very sharp synthetic mineral typically used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing. Aluminium oxide is a hard, block-like mineral with a powerful cutting action and long life. Silicon carbide breaks down faster than alumina, but also provides a finer finish. Talc is a mild abrasive material used to achieve a matt-gloss finish. Together with polishing compound, it provides a high-gloss finish when polishing a top coat. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface finishing products in which the abrasive is contained in a non-woven fibre matrix. The combination of abrasive with non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The material with an open web structure remains cool during use and is full-bodied. As a result, the fibres are less likely to clog and the abrasive minerals remain high performing.
