The 3M Xtract paper sanding disc 236U has a unique 3M multi-hole pattern for better dust extraction during finishing applications. Part of the 3M Xtract series, developed for optimal dust removal. Our innovative multi-hole pattern extracts dust better than products with five or six holes, increasing cutting performance and significantly extending disc life. The design does not require alignment with the holes of the disc holder, making disc changes fast, easy and convenient. Thanks to their design, 3M's Advanced Series abrasives offer an unbeatable combination of performance and value. The open construction and full-flow-resistant coating prevent disc clogging.
The 3M Xtract paper sanding disc 236U is excellent for blending and finishing on aluminium and carbon steel, as well as woodworking applications such as heavy and medium material removal and finishing of hardwood, softwood and composites. Our Clean Sanding discs also work well on primers, lacquers, sealers, top coats, fibreglass and plastics. The strong, C-weight paper backing of our 3M Xtract paper sanding disc 236U supports aggressive sanding and minimises edge wear. An open construction means there is space between the abrasive grains, allowing dust to escape through the spaces instead of accumulating on the cutting edges. The full-body coating ensures that the disc has a long-lasting cutting action, even when sanding soft wood, varnish and other materials, where discs usually fill up quickly so that sanding capacity decreases. Sanding paper discs have better cutting action and last longer when the cutting surface of the abrasive does not fill up with dust. Reducing dust is easier than ever with 3M Xtract discs, designed for optimal dust removal. Use this disc for maximum dust extraction with a 3M Xtract backing pad and an eccentric sander with dust extraction (both available separately). Our unique multi-hole pattern in 3M Xtract products removes dust faster than products with 5 or 6 holes. This hole design does not even require alignment of the holes with the disc holder (attached to an eccentric sander and sold separately), making disc changes quick and easy. The 3M Hookit fastening system uses Velcro that makes changing discs quick and easy. All this ensures higher productivity and lower material consumption.
