Clean stainless welding with Esab

Practical benefits
  • High resistance to corrosion: The extra-low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation, ensuring you achieve durable corrosion resistance on stainless steel joints.
  • Easy arc ignition stability: The rutile-acid coating lets you ignite and restrike the arc smoothly across alternating and direct current setups.
  • Smooth and clean finish: Self-releasing slag allows you to produce uniform weld beads with minimal post-weld cleaning effort required.

In a nutshell

The right choise for

With the Esab ok 61.30 rutile-acid welding electrode, you weld austenitic stainless steels like aisi 304 and aisi 304L smoothly and reliably. The extra-low carbon content prevents intergranular corrosion, ensuring tough, long-lasting joints on piping, tanks, and sheet metal. Its rutile-acid coating delivers effortless arc ignition and restriking alongside a stable arc on both ac and DC+ setups. Thanks to self-releasing slag, each 2.5 x 300 mm rod produces a clean, uniform bead that cuts down post-weld cleanup. With 80 electrodes in this pack, you can handle demanding maintenance and fabrication projects with confidence.

Product description

OK 61.30 is an extra low-carbon stainless steel welding electrode with a rutile-acid coating for welding austenitic stainless steels of the 19Cr10Ni (AISI 304L) type. The electrode is also suitable for stabilised stainless steel grades with a similar composition, provided that full creep resistance of the base material is not required. Thanks to its easy ignition and re-ignition, stable welding arc and self-discharging slag, OK 61.30 produces a smooth weld with an excellent finish.

  • Rutile-acid stainless steel welding electrode for austenitic stainless steel
  • Classification AWS A5.4 E308L-17 / EN ISO 3581-A E 19 9 L R 1 2
  • Suitable for 19Cr10Ni (AISI 304L) and comparable stabilised stainless steel grades
  • Extra-low carbon content for good corrosion resistance
  • Easy ignition and re-ignition
