OK 63.30 is an extra low-carbon stainless steel welding electrode with a rutile-acid coating for welding austenitic stainless steels of the type 18Cr12Ni2.8Mo (AISI 316L). The electrode is also suitable for welding stabilised stainless steels with a similar composition, except where the full creep resistance of the base material is required. Thanks to its easy ignition and re-ignition, stable welding arc and self-extinguishing slag, smooth welds with an excellent finish are achieved.
OK 63.30 is used for welding stainless steel structures, tanks, pipework, chemical plant and maritime applications where a corrosion-resistant weld joint with molybdenum-containing stainless steel is required.
