Face protection for welding, grinding and splash hazards

Face protection covers the whole front of the head against hazards that safety glasses cannot stop: welding arc radiation, grinding sparks, flying chips and chemical splash. The range splits into welding helmets and face shields. A welding helmet carries a filter that darkens the moment the arc strikes and clears again between passes, so the joint stays visible without lifting the shell, and a well balanced helmet stays wearable through a full shift.

A face shield uses a clear visor on adjustable headgear or a helmet mount, which suits grinding, cutting, machining and any task where the risk is impact or liquid rather than light. Choose the visor for the hazard: clear polycarbonate for general impact work, tinted grades where radiant heat is the problem, chemical-resistant material where liquids are handled. Comfort decides whether it is actually worn, so check the harness adjustment, the weight on the brow and whether the visor lifts clear without removing the headgear.

Combine it with head protection and neck protection where the hazard reaches past the face.
