Fastening nails for steel, concrete and high-strength substrates

Fastening into steel, hardened concrete and pre-stressed concrete demands nails specifically engineered for these high-strength substrates. Standard wire nails would bend or shatter on contact, while purpose-built single-hole and single-block fastening nails are heat-treated to penetrate without deformation.

Single-hole nails in the SC 9 series are designed for powder-actuated tools, providing rapid, reliable connections in structural steel and dense concrete applications. The nail shank resists the lateral shear forces that occur when steel decking, cable trays or metal profiles are anchored to concrete soffits or columns. Single-block nails in the HSBR series target high-performance steel applications, where the fastener must match the substrate hardness to achieve pull-through resistance without cracking.

Nail lengths from 14 mm to 75 mm accommodate different material thicknesses and embedment depth requirements, letting you specify the correct fastener for each connection detail. Proper nail selection depends on the substrate type, the thickness of the material being fixed and the required load capacity. Using the manufacturer's load tables to match nail type and length to the application ensures each connection meets the structural performance expected by the design specification.
